On April 27, 2018, thousands of people dressed in red rallied at the Arizona Capitol to show their support for the #RedforEd movement. The rally kicked off the second day of what would become a weeklong teacher walkout that affected thousands of students across the state.

On April 20, 2018, Arizona students gathered at the State Capitol to protest gun violence and attempt to call legislators to action. The students staged a “die-in” in the lobbies of the House and Senate, and their presence attracted small groups of counter-protesters.
