Arizona Broadway Theatre makes masks from costume supplies

Produced, filmed and edited by Nick Serpa. At the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, organizations big and small found new ways to give back to the community. While Arizona Broadway Theatre was forced to cancel its productions, volunteers decided to make use of old supplies to make masks for the community.

Adaptive programming at home

When Peoria's community center was forced to close due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a solution was needed to keep serving the city's adaptive adults population. That's why the city decided to bring socially-distant programming directly to those who needed it.

Delivering crafts to kids in need

Produced, filmed and edited by Nick Serpa. With kids and families stuck at home, the City of Peoria wanted to provide fun activities for people to do at home during the pandemic. Peoria Police Department delivered hundreds of craft kits to families across Peoria.


Handmade cards for first responders

Produced and edited by Nick Serpa. Filmed with assistance from Tim Eiden. All it takes to make a difference is an idea. Hurshneet and Pravneet Chadha, two students from Peoria, gave back to first responders and COVID patients by making hundreds of handmade cards.

Art center volunteers make cards for senior citizens

Produced, filmed and edited by Nick Serpa. With so many senior citizens stuck in care facilities during the COVID-19 pandemic, volunteers at WHAM (a West Valley art studio) decided to handmake cards to lift people's spirits.
