Peoria Police Introduces School Learning Officers

Edited by Nicholas Serpa. Written by Andrea Robinson. Filmed alongside the whole Peoria Channel 11 team. This video highlights the recent introduction of School Learning Officers to Peoria schools, with the primary goal being to capture the importance of this program from the perspectives of key leaders. I was the lead editor for this project, and contributed to filming on-set, as well as filming the majority of b-roll in this piece.

Hometown Heroes - David Hill (Peoria High School)

Peoria Youth Government Day 2023

With this event, we took extra care to ensure all students being filmed had media waivers signed - a significant challenge for large events like this.


Peoria High School MET Academy Promo

Pitched, produced, filmed and edited by Nick Serpa. Peoria High School's MET Academy is an innovative STEM-focused program that lets students get real world experience in healthcare, technology and more. I interviewed students about their experiences and produced a video to promote the program.

Students visit Peoria Channel 11

The students at Peoria Sports Broadcast Network visited the Peoria Channel 11 studios for an afternoon of equipment training and video production! I documented the events of the day and spoke with students to help promote the program for future students.

Recognizing a Peoria Teacher

Cheesman introduced STEM night to her school, creating a new opportunity for children to engage with science in a fun environment.
